Don’t be intimidated! The pour-over method is really a simple and quick way to handcraft coffee to your taste. Here are the steps to brewing your own pour-over coffee

1. Fold the seams of the Melitta filter and place in Melitta cone pour-over brewer. Place pour-over on top of the carafe.

2. Scoop in finely ground coffee. The fresher the coffee the better.

3. Start with fresh, cool water. Heat the water to just below a boil.

4. Pour the water in a swirling motion to fully saturate the grounds and create agitation for optimal extraction. The slower the water is poured, the bolder and more developed the cup will be.

5. Enjoy your handcrafted cup of coffee!

Tip: Temper the carafe with hot water, then pour it out before brewing.

A little disappointed

I found the filter clogged after the initial phase of the pour through. It likely would have helped for amount of coffee in the filter for a fill up to have been specified. I love the look! It's pretty, great on the counter. But found it labour intensive because of the need to keep stirring the coffee through.

This in my view is the best way to brew your favourite coffee . It extracts the most flavour . Also reminds me of my German OMA, making coffee for family and guests Only disappointed in fact you don’t sell the 4 CUP version or even the 2 cup !

Love It!

I love this Melitta porcelain coffee pot/filter set - it's a larger size and could double as a teapot in a pinch. Not only does it make a fabulous cup of coffee, it's also plastic-free, and it looks stylish in our home - No need to hide it away in the cupboard.
I recommend warming the pot and filter with boiling water before making the coffee, as this keeps everything hot right from the start - While you're at it, warm your mug, too.
On a side note, I looked thorough all the recipes on this site - Wow! I am now addicted to the Coconut Coffee Muffins! So good - can't wait to try more recipes.
