Does not sit flat on top of my coffee mug. It wobbles too much. Sometimes coffee will drip out the view window and onto the counter top. This was supposed to be better???

Perfect for making a coffee in the morning or afternoon. Filters efficiently. Only wish I had known about these sooner.

View opening causes small design flaw

First of all, the product is great. Portable, sturdy, and provides an easy way to make good coffee. No hot water rushing through any plastics.
The new added opening, providing a window into the cup the coffee is gathering is a great addition, but it does have a design flaw.
By far most coffee makes it into the cup, but some coffee tends to seep along the side of the arch, where some ends up outside of the view openings, on the outside brim of the coffee maker. Here it pools, or even overflows when sufficient coffee has pooled.
Interestingly I haven't figured out yet what makes this behaviour more or less worse, as it isn't consistently reproducible. Every time I get some pooling, but only sometimes it is really bad, so that I end up needing a cloth to clean it up.
Not having the view would probably be less desirable, hence the 4 stars. Would definitely be 5 if the flaw wasn't there.

Great for me

Overall, I like the porcelain Mellitas, as plastic is toxic for me. Expensive, but works well. However, heavy and clunky and, of course, could easily break, especially the rather fragile handle. Tip: for a hot cup of coffee during cooler seasons, submerge the Melitta cone and your coffee cup into hot tap water for a minute before inserting filter, coffee and boiling water.

Good solid ceramic / eco friendly method!

As it was described. Heavy Porcelain which should last literally forever unless dropped on a hard surface. Was a little bigger that the original plastic one we had, but fits the Number 2 filters just fine. A lot cheaper than K-cups, and less environmental waste (plastic).
